Celebrating its 26th year of competition, the Sierra Vista Open is one of Southern Arizona’s premier golf tournaments. This 36-hole pro-am tournament is scheduled October 1st-3rd with professional golfers representing the major developmental tours in the country.


The Professional Field & Purse:

$10,000 with a full field of 40 Golf Professionals

Amateur Field:

Professional golfers will be teamed with 3 amateurs with AGA handicaps. Each amateur player will reveive 80% of their handicap.

The Cut:

There is no cut in the 2010 Sierra Vista Open

The Golf Course:

The Sierra Vista Open played at Pueblo Del Sol Country Club (PDS), a 7071 yard, a par 72 golf course. PDS is recognized as having outstanding greens, among the best in the Country.

Rules of Golf: Play shall be governed in accordance with the Rules of Golf of the United States Golf Association, as modified by Local Rules and Conditions of Competition Card and Notice to Competitors for the applicable course. The Rules Committee appointed by the Huachucans shall settle questions or disputes; all decisions shall be final.

Pace of play will be in accordance with the PGA TOUR Pace of Play Policy, except the fine structure shall not apply. All professionals players shall play from the same teeing ground when starting play of a hole.

The public is invited to attend the golf competition and there is no charge for admission.

Professional Purse: 

The professional purse for the 2010 Sierra Vista Open Championship is  $10,000, based on a full field of 40 professionals. Payouts to professionals will be made to the top 30% of the field and ties.

Amateur Purse:

The amateur field will consist of 120 of the region’s amateur players, playing a best ball format with the golf professionals. The low gross amateur will be the 2010 Sierra Vista Open Amateur Champion. Amateur teams will receive gross and net awards, based on number of entries.
